Judges back a one-third reduction in California state prison population
Posted by Brew Master Published in Throw Away the KeyBut Matt Cate, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s corrections secretary, said the ruling “poses a significant threat to public safety” because it could prevent the state from incarcerating as many criminals as it now keeps in seven to 10 prisons.
